Ecclesial Families have been a reality in the Church for decades: lay people, priests, religious of both genders, married couples, who share the same charism, the same mission. The Oasis is one of these. A conversation dedicated to this reality, and especially to its canonical structure, took place in Rome at the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross. The event, organized by the Forum of Ecclesial Families of Consecrated Life of which, for the past two years, our Father Martino has been the general secretary, was attended by representatives of these families, along with some experts in the field and officials from the Congregation for Institutes of Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic Life, and from the Dicastery for Laity, Family, and Life. Two days of intense exchange, discussion, study, testimonies, and friendship, showcasing all the vitality of this new form of Christian life within the Church.
