On the 20th, 21st, and 22nd of September, the Marian Community Oasi della Pace carried out the eighteenth edition of the youth festival at the Santuário Nossa Senhora Imaculada Rainha do Sertão. More than 100 young people from different parts of the diocese of Quixadá and also from the archdiocese of Fortaleza were present. On Friday evening, the young people went in procession to the Hill of the Cross, which was reopened, with the blessing of the new Cross. In front of the cross, they praised and thanked the Lord for this great Gift. Saturday was a very intense day starting with the Eucharistic celebration, then they gathered in the auditorium to listen to the main theme of this Festival: "Men and women according to the heart of God." In the afternoon, they met in two groups (men and women) to delve into the theme. The afternoon concluded with lively recreation. Saturday ended with a beautiful moment of Eucharistic adoration. On Sunday morning, the last day of the festival, the young people divided into groups to meditate on the word of God. The festival concluded with the Eucharistic celebration at 11 am, presided over by the diocesan bishop of Quixada, Monsignor Aurelio Pinto. During the homily, the bishop, speaking with words of affection and hope, encouraged the young people to live their vocation with enthusiasm and perseverance. We entrust all these young people to the Madonna so that they can be instruments of peace in their families.
